Hennessey Easter Egg Hunt slated this Saturday, will feature special prizes
More than 2,000 eggs were stuffed for Hennessey’s Easter Egg Hunt to be held this Saturday, March 30, at Bull Foot Park. A fire truck siren will be sounded at exactly noon to start the hunt.
Thanks to business and individual donors there will be several “special prize egg winners” who may win cash, bikes, scooters or prize baskets, said Dagan Hardin, president of the Lions Club, sponsors of the event.
Prize winners must collect their winnings by going to the fire and police cars in the starting area. Parents should check their child’s eggs before they leave the park.
Age groups are: 1-2 year olds; 3-4; 5-7, and 8 and up for the event.
Parking on the east and west sides of the park is reserved for handicapped and elderly, and on the south side at the Dollar Transportation yard for all others.
There will be egg recycling containers in front of the restrooms.
Donations for next year’s event may be made to the Hennessey Lions Club and dropped off at Town Hall, or mailed to Town of Hennessey, 123 S. Main, Hennessey, OK 73742.
