Hennessey FD project among items approved by county commissioners
Kingfisher County commissioners approved two actions related to the Hennessey Fire Department expansion and remodeling project Monday.
One action involved a change of $2,445 from Architects in Partnership, raising the total project price to $1,944,027.
The second action approved a payment of $108,486 to Henson Construction Co.
The project is being financed through county sales tax receipts dedicated to county fire departments, which the fire department had saved for the purpose.
Commissioners also approved disposing of equipment for Districts 2 and 3, which were sold at auction recently, including a John Deere grader sold by District 2, which brought $34,500.
District 3 equipment sold included a 2016 Freightliner truck, which brought $20,700, a 2018 Freightliner truck, which sold for $25,300, a 2019 Classic Crew Cab Ram pickup truck, which sold for $24,794; a 2018 Armor Lite trailer, which brought $23,000, and a 2017 Armor Lite trailer, which brought $19,500.
Approving disposal of the equipment allows the items to be removed from county property lists.
Commissioners approved a detention transportation claim to the state totaling $70.62, a permit for a 12-inch lay flat water line for Howard Drilling Enterprises located north of Kingfisher near the District 1 shop and a 90-day permit for a 12-inch lay flat line located five miles north of Okarche in District 3.
