Kingfisher High School has named its Students of the Month for November 2022.

Students are chosen based on many characteristics including responsibility, leadership, work ethic, reliability, kindness and more.

Selected by the faculty and staff were freshman Isabella Gomez, sophomore Mia Hartman, junior Eli Johnson and senior Cash Slezickey.

Gomez is the daughter of Jose and Marcie Gomez.

She is a member of KHS choir where she has earned WOCDA Honor Choir for three years and OKCDA All-State Honor Choir for two years.

Gomez plays softball for KHS and enjoys writing, painting, crafting and baking.

Hartman is the daughter of Chad and Leah Hartman. She is listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and is a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society.

Hartman is an active member of the Kingfisher FFA Chapter where she currently serves as chapter historian.

She was a member of the state champion and national semifinalist conduct of chapter meetings team as well as the state champion parliamentary procedure team.

Hartman is also a member of the KHS cheer team that was named 2021 academic state champions and placed fifth at Game Day state this year.

She is active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Council and Kingfisher First Baptist Church youth group.

Johnson is the son of Jeff and Amy Johnson.

He is listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and is a member of both the National Honor Society and the Oklahoma Honor Society.

Johnson has received the 4.0 Award and a Spanish I subject award.

He was named freshman class king in 2020. He is a member of the KHS baseball team, Fellowship of Student Athletes, Students Stepping Up and the Michael Swisher Media team.

Slezickey is the son of Dave and Melissa Slezickey.

He is listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and is a member of both the National Honor Society and the Oklahoma Honor Society.

Slezickey is a member of the KHS boys basketball team that won state championships in 2021 and 2022 as well as an academic state champion in 2021.

He is also a member of the KHS boys golf team that was a state qualifier last year.

Slezickey is active in Student Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Students Stepping Up.
