Kingfisher High School’s annual Veteran’s Day Assembly returns as an in-person event at 11 a.m. Thursday at the All-Purpose Building.

Bart Looper, assistant director of Oklahoma Boys State, will present the keynote address.

Organized by the KHS Student Council, the program also will include KHS Boys State delegates and student council officers.

The Pride of Kingfisher band and award-winning KHS choir will provide patriotic music.

Following the assembly, which is open to the public, the student council will host a luncheon for all veterans and current military members in attendance.

The longstanding KHS tradition was derailed by the pandemic last year as a live event, and was presented instead as a moving online video produced by Kurt Kaya, videography teacher.
