Kingfisher Police Department investigates reports

March 7 - Public Intoxication.

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick responded to a disturbance in the 700 block of West Zellers Avenue.

According to the report, a resident stated a neighbor had repeatedly knocked on his door loudly multiple times.

Brodrick said in his report that he and Officer Aaron Schlegel made contact with the 43-year-old male at his residence and he appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication.

Officers spoke with the suspect about the alleged incident and he made allegations that “someone came in and took his walnuts out of his house” as well as other statements, the report said.

The suspect pulled a knife out of his pocket at one point, but complied with officer’s commands to drop it, according to the report.

The suspect was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Officer Kyle Svoboda assisted with the investigation.

March 9 - Criminal trespass.

Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of an individual at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive, who had previously been trespassed from Walmart properties.

According to the report, officers and store management staff were unable to locate the suspect in the store upon the officers’ arrival.

The store manager reviewed surveillance footage and observed the 54-yearold male suspect exit the store when officers arrived, the report said.

Sergeant Justin Trumbley assisted with the investigation.

March 10 - Operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license, transporting open container- liquor and assault and battery on police offi cer/corrections officer.

Officer Justin Conner said in his report that he observed a vehicle make an improper turn on U.S. 81 from Seay Avenue and initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, the 35-year-old male driver was uncooperative and appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication.

Conner said in his report that when he questioned the suspect in regards to how much he had to drink his reply was, “not much” and then pulled two bottles of liquor from his pockets.

The suspect was placed under arrest for driving without a valid license and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

According to the report, the suspect attempted to assault a corrections officer at the jail and the officer performed a takedown maneuver on the suspect.

Additional charges against the suspect included transporting an open container and assault and battery on a corrections officer, the report said.

March 10 - Warrant, operating a vehicle without proper tag/decal, no insurance, driving with license canceled/suspended/ revoked, possession of dangerous drugs prohibited- marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of dangerous drugs prohibited.

Officer Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a motorcycle operating without a tag and initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, the 41-year-old male suspect was driving with a suspended license and also had two outstanding warrants in Kingfisher County.

Schlegel placed the suspect under arrest for the warrants.

During a search of the suspect’s clothing, Schlegel located “a syringe with some clear and bloody liquid inside,” a baggie containing a green leafy substance and another baggie containing a pill that was identified as Oxycodone, the report said.

The suspect was issued five district citations including operating a motor vehicle on which all taxes due to state have not been paid, failure to comply with compulsary insurance law, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license is suspended.

A field test performed on the liquid in the syringe was positive for methamphetamine, the report said.

March 13 - Theft.

Officer Jarred Tech took a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.

According to the report, Brooke Coffey stated on the evening of March 13 she “probably set her phone down at the register (at Walmart) and forgot it.”

The following morning she pinged her phone through her Apple watch and determined its location was in Midwest City, the report said.

Tech made contact with the Midwest City Police Department regarding the incident.
