Kingfisher Police Department investigating multiple reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: January 12 - Domestic abuse assault and battery, resisting executive officer, interruption, disruption or interference with emergency telephone call and planning or threatening violent act.

Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of an altercation in the 300 block of North Second Street.

Captain Travis Gray and Sergeant Justin Trumbley assisted with the investigation.

January 13 - Tampering with utilities.

Officer Derek Grassman responded to a report of utility tampering in the 500 block of West Miles.

Grassman said in his report that he observed “power had been bootlegged in” from the meter at a 42-yearold female’s residence.

According to the report, an extension cord was also observed leading to a nearby residence. Officers made contact with the individual receiving power via the extension cord and he stated he was renting the room.

Officers contacted the City of Kingfisher and utility workers “pulled the bootleg out of the meter and disconnected the power,” the report said.

Officer Grassman said in his report the workers also discovered the water meter had been tampered with and they placed a lock on the meter.

According to the report, utilities had been disconnected at the residence since April 2022.

The reported value of the stolen utilities was $3,432.14.

Sergeant Justin Trumbley and Officer Justin Conner assisted with the investigation.

January 15 - Burglary of vehicle.

Officer Jarred Tech responded to a report of burglary of a vehicle in the 200 block of South Eighth Street.

Ximena Charqueno reportedly stated she observed an individual on surveillance video burglarizing her vehicle and possibly removing items, but she didn’t notice anything missing.

Officers reviewed the video footage and patrolled the area for a possible suspect, the report said.

Sergeant Charles Trout and Officer Kyle Svoboda assisted with the investigation.

January 16 - Burglary- second degree.

Officer Jarred Tech responded to a report of burglary in the 200 block of East Fay Avenue.

Larry Munoz reportedly stated he discovered the lock had been cut off a gate at his property and multiple items were missing.

Munoz said it appeared the suspects backed a vehicle, and possibly a trailer, onto the property to load the stolen items, according to the report.

Tech said in his report that Munoz also led the offi cers to a flip phone laying in the yard near a skid steer and a yellow Stanley jump box connected to his lawn mower.

According to the report, fingerprints were located and an attempt was made responded to a report of property damage at K&S Tire, 816 N. Court St. The manager reportedly stated, after an argument, a 28-year-old male employee quit his job and as he was leaving “hit the front door hard and the glass shattered.”

The total reported value of the stolen items was $2,690 and included a generator, several nailers, stapler, chop saw and a variety of other tools, according to the report.

Tech said in his report he entered the generator’s identifying information into the National Crime Information Center.

January 19 - Domestic abuse assault and battery.

Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of an altercation in the 100 block of North Eighth Street.

Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel assisted with the investigation.

January 21 - Malicious injury/destruction of property.

Officer Aaron Schlegel According to the report, the suspect agreed to pay for the repairs and the manager did not want to pursue charges, but did want to make a police report.

January 21 - Planning or threatening violent act.

Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of an individual making threatening statements in the 1200 block of Walton Trail.

According to the report, a tow truck driver was attempting to repossess a vehicle at the residence and a 26-year-old male suspect exited the residence and told the driver he would, “…go inside to get my gun to shoot you.”

The tow truck driver returned to his truck (without completing the repossession) and the suspect fled the scene, the report said.
