The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

June 2 - Protective order violation (two). Officer Dustin Brodrick took a report of two occurrences of a protective order violation occurring on May 22 and 26.

June 2 - Malicious injury/destruction of property. Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of a damaged mailbox at Apple Seed Thrift store and bricks lying in the outside southbound lane of U.S. 81.

Witnesses reportedly stated a vehicle had struck the mailbox while exiting the store parking lot. The witnesses provided a description and photograph of the vehicle, the report said.

Schlegel said in his report that he would make contact with the owners of Apple Seed Thrift.

Officer Jason East assisted with the investigation.

June 2 - Driving with license canceled/suspended/revoked and obstructing an officer.

Officer Brandon Chapman said in his report that he responded to a three-car accident on May 6 at the intersection of South Main Street and Bowman Avenue.

According to the report, the driver of a Ford F150 was only able to produce a Texas state ID card and stated that he had a driver’s license, but not currently in his possession.

After checking information from both Oklahoma and Texas databases, Chapman determined the 34-year-old male’s Texas driver’s license expired in 2012 and not been renewed, the report said.

Officer Ryan Gibson assisted with the investigation.

June 3 - Complaint (diesel spill). Officer Christopher McDaniel responded to a diesel spill along southbound U.S. 81.

McDaniel said in his report that he, as well as Sgt. Charles Trout and Officer Ryan Gibson, followed the trail of diesel to Daylight Donuts, 1306 S. Main St.

According to the report, a Daylight Donuts employee stated the driver of a delivery truck said he struck a rock earlier, damaging the fuel tank, and after leaving the store proceeded to Valero, 100 Mitchell Drive.

Officers contacted the driver, who reportedly stated he did not notice the fuel was leaking until he made the delivery to Daylight Donuts.

Due to an estimated 50 to 58 gallons of fuel involved in the spill, the Kingfisher Fire Department was contacted to provide assistance, the report said.

Along with the assistance of the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Department, it was determined the spill covered approximately 11 miles, starting 75 yards west of County Road 2920 on S.H. 33 and ending on Frontage Road at Valero on the west side of U.S. 81, the report said.

McDaniel said in his report that he contacted Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality regarding the incident and the inspector advised the trucking company would be responsible for contacting a remediation company to clean up the diesel spill and a remediation company responded.

McDaniel proceeded to the initial point of the diesel trail and noticed two apparent recent gashes in the road, as well as what appeared to be gear grease on the roadway, according to the report.

McDaniel videoed the diesel trail using his in-vehicle dash cam system, as well as taking photos of pooled fuel.

June 3 - Fraudulent use of credit card number. Officer Tyler Girten took a report of credit card fraud at 102 S. Main St.

Thomas Hall, Yukon, reportedly stated a total of $1,366.99 had been fraudulently charged to his credit card in several locations in Oklahoma and Kansas, including a $125 charge at Casey’s, 102 S. Main St.

Girten said in his report that he reviewed Casey’s surveillance video of the transaction, but he was unable to get a good description of the suspect or the vehicle license plate, but was able to determine the suspect vehicle was an early 2000 model white truck.

June 4 - Malicious injury/destruction of property. Officer Tyler Girten responded to a report of a damaged mailbox at 124 N. 2nd St.

Tony Maschino reportedly stated he witnessed a red semi-truck strike his mailbox, but it did not stop after the incident.

Girten said in his report that Maschino contacted him a short time later and said the individual involved in the incident had contacted him and offered to repair the mailbox.

June 5 - Public intoxication. Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of an intoxicated individual in the 100 block of West Miles.

Conner said in his report that the suspect exhibited signs of intoxication and also admitted to drinking alcohol.

According to the report, Conner placed the 41-yearold male suspect under arrest for public intoxication and transported him to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

While being transported and during the booking process, the suspect was uncooperative and exhibited strange behavior, the report said.

Personnel at the Justice Center said the suspect would need to be evaluated at Mercy Hospital Kingfisher to receive medical clearance for incarceration, according to the report.

After receiving medical clearance, the suspect was transported back to the Justice Center for incarceration.

Conner said in his report that he discovered a crystal-like substance in the bottom of the suspect’s marijuana vaping device, which field tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana.

The marijuana vaping device and crystal-like substance was photographed and seized as evidence.

Officers Brandon Chapman, Ryan Gibson and Matthew Hollon assisted with the investigation.

June 5 - Complaint (vehicle accident). Officer Justin Conner said he was on patrol in the area of Rock Island Street near Oklahoma Avenue and witnessed a 2013 Chrysler parked between Oklahoma Avenue and Toronto Avenue.

According to the report, the vehicle had damage to the front and a female was walking away from the vehicle.

Conner made contact with the 43-year-old female and she said the vehicle struck a pole while she was attempting to get her grandchild back into his car seat, according the report.

The suspect didn’t have a valid driver’s license or vehicle insurance and Conner issued two citations to the individual and impounded the vehicle, the report said.

June 5 - Domestic assault and battery/abuse. Officer Ryan Gibson responded to a domestic altercation in the 1300 block of South 12th Place.
