Local traffic accidents
The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: May 19, 7:37 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Seay Avenue.
George Richey, 75, El Reno, driving a 2003 Honda Accord, was northbound on U.S. 81 near the intersection of Seay Avenue.
According to the report, Richey stated the vehicle’s gas pedal suddenly became stuck and the vehicle sped out of control.
The vehicle struck the curb in the outside northbound lane of U.S. 81, appeared to overcorrect and struck the curb of the southbound lanes, coming to rest in a resident’s yard, the report said.
Disabling damage was reported to the Richey vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
Sergeant Charles Trout investigated the accident.
May 21, 4:10 p.m. - At 1100 Hospital Circle.
Daren Johnson, 54, Oklahoma City, driving a 2016 Hyundai Sonata, was backed into a parking spot.
Roger Wilczek, 64, Loyal, driving a 1999 GMC 2500, attempted to back into an adjacent parking spot and struck the Johnson vehicle, the report said.
Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.
No injuries were reported.
