Lomega’s Allison Roberts has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Kingfisher Roundup Club.

The daughter of Randy and Rachel Roberts, Allison is a senior who plans to attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

She is a member of the Roundup Club and maintains a 4.0 grade point average.

Roberts also maintains a business, Breakaway Livestrock Care, which began as her FFA Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) project in 2020.

She said that business has “grown so much” since it began.

Roberts said she plans to continue the business while working toward a nursing degree at SWOSU.

“I have high hopes that my small business will help me be able to continue college and serve my community as well,” she said. “This scholarship would definitely be a blessing to myself and my family.”

Roberts’ career goal is to become a traveling nurse “with the ability to work in all 50 states.”
