Lower price for water line gets approval

KINGFISHER COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

By

Kingfisher County commissioners approved a lower contract price of $164,300 with Denali Plumbing for installation of a water line for Kingfisher Rural Water District No. 3 Monday at their weekly meeting.

The change order allows the project to go forward at a price the district can afford, County Engineer Nik Smith said.

Denali submitted the low bid on the project earlier in the year.

In other action during a 10-minute meeting, commissioners approved renewing Dr. Stephen Arthurs advisory contract with the county health department, a contract with Mercy Hospital for TB Xray services, a renewal of the annual contract between the City of Kingfisher and Kingfisher County’s 911 emergency calling service, and approved a county road pipeline crossing agreement with Ovintiv Energy for a 16-inch pipeline located three miles south and one mile east of Kingfisher in District 1.

All commissioners – Chairman Anthony Schwarz, District 3; Jeff Moss, vice chairman, District 1, and Michael Sparks, District 2, were present, along with Smith, County Emergency Management Director Ryan Deatherage, County Clerk Emily Lee as official minute clerk, and Kelly Buck, citizen visitor.
