I SOLEMNLY SWEAR – Canadian County District Judge Khristan Strubhar, right, administers the oath of offi ce Tuesday afternoon to Tommy Humphries, newly-appointed district attorney for District 4, which includes Canadian, Kingfi sher, Grant, Garfi eld and Blaine counties. Humphries follows in the footsteps of Mike Fields, who retired after nearly 28 years of public service, beginning as a legal intern in the Garfi eld County DA’s Offi ce and advancing to the elected post as top prosecutor. Humphries leads a staff of about 50 employees among the fi ve county prosecutor’s offi ces in the 4,800 square-mile area that comprises District 4. Humphries’ family attended his formal swearing in ceremony at the Canadian County Courthouse. Family members present included his wife Summer and children, from left, Ava, Madden, Conner and Eden. His daughter Lily was unable to attend. They are pictured below along with Judge Strubhar.
