Recent local traffic accidents

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:

October 23 - At 1500 S. 13th St. — A 16-year-old male, Kingfisher, driving a 2020 Jeep Cherokee, was parked in a parking space at Kingfisher High School, 1500 S. 13th St. Conner Askey, 18, Kingfisher, driving a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado, attempted to pull into a parking space and struck the 16-year-old’s vehicle in the passenger side. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Officer Kyle Svoboda investigated the accident.

October 29, 4:20 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Miles Avenue. — James Nicholas, 28, Enid, driving a 2021 Ford Transit, was northbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81, near Miles Avenue. Devin Wakefield, 47, Cashion, driving a 2024 Ford F250, was northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81. According to the report, the Nicholas vehicle attempted to make a U-turn on U.S. 81 and was struck by the Wakefield vehicle. Disabling damage was reported to the Nicholas vehicle and minor damage to the Wakefield vehicle. No injuries were reported. Lieutenant Justin Trumbley investigated the accident.

November 1, 11:30 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and Locust Avenue. — Arlo Bohlman, 63, Kingfi sher, driving a 2018 Honda, was southbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81. According to the report, the Bohlman vehicle struck a southbound 2021 White Freightliner which was stopped in the outside lane of U.S. 81.

November 6, 1:22 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and Jackson Avenue. — Roman Assad, 24, Oklahoma City, driving a 2022 Ram Promenade, was southbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81. Ta’ah Stanley, 28, Elk City, driving a 2020 Ford Explorer, was southbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81. According to the report, the Assad vehicle attempted to make a U-turn and was struck by the Stanley vehicle. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Captain Dustin Brodrick investigated the accident.

November 9, 10:57 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and Starlite Drive. — Jonathan Hill, 39, El Reno, driving a 2000 Ford F2S, was stopped in the outside northbound lane of U.S. 81 at the intersection of Starlite Drive. Wayne Murrow, 89, Bethany, driving a Chrysler Pacifica, was also northbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81. According to the report, the Murrow vehicle failed to stop and struck the Hill vehicle in the rear. Disabling damage was reported to the Murrow vehicle and minor damage to the Hill vehicle. Hill sustained a possible head injury and an 82-yearold female passenger in the Murrow vehicle sustained a possible arm injury, the report said. Sergeant Aaron Schlegel investigated the accident.

November 10, 12:55 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and S.H. 33. — Donald Barker, 64, Enid, driving a 2021 Ford Escape, was southbound on U.S. 81 and stopped at the intersection of S.H. 33. Bryce Culbert, 51, Enid, driving a 2008 Chevrolet SC3, was also southbound on U.S. 81 directly behind the Barker vehicle. According to the report, the Culbert vehicle failed to stop and struck the Barker vehicle in the rear. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. A 63-year-old female passenger in the Barker vehicle sustained possible trunk injuries, the report said. Sergeant Charles Trout investigated the accident.

November 13, 7:45 a.m. - At 1500 S. 13th St. — Kennedy Parrott, 24, Kingfisher, driving a 2018 Nissan Altima, was eastbound in the Kingfisher Junior High School parking lot and waiting to merge onto South 13th Street. Carrie Turner, 61, Kingfisher, driving a 2008 Mazda MX5, was also eastbound and stopped directly behind the Parrott vehicle. According to the report, the Parrott vehicle attempted to back up and struck the Turner vehicle. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Captain Dustin Brodrick investigated the accident.
