Reception to honor Cashion’s Hamils on 50th anniversary
Randy and Debra Hamil of Cashion are set to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Dec. 2.
The reception will take place at Cimarron National Golf Club in Guthrie from 3 to 7 p.m.
It will be hosted by their children and their spouses, Hank and Catherine Hamil of Cashion and Heath and Annette Hamil of Paradise, Texas.
Randy and Debra were married Oct. 12, 1973, at Cashion United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Spivey officiating.
The couple have resided in the Cashion area their entire lives.
Randy still works in the family business while Debra is now retired.
Randy has been self-employed from the time he could drive.
He has owned and operated Hamil Hay Hauling as well as a cattle operation.
The family business is now Hamil & Sons Harvesting, which they have operated for 38 years.
Debra worked for Honeywell, Control Data and Magnetic Peripherals, Inc., for 12 years.
She traveled for 14 years with her husband and sons in the custom harvesting business, later worked for Dillards for eight years and Neuroscience Specialists for eight years.
Both Randy and Debra have contributed many volunteer hours to the 4-H, FFA and sports programs in the Cashion community.
They remain active participants in the many activities of their six grandchildren.
All friends and family are invited to attend the reception.
