Remodeling work is almost completed on the new offices for the Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce at Memorial Hall, Ray Hackney, president, reported to the membership last week at the regular monthly luncheon meeting. He invited members to come by and see what is being done.

History of Route 66 was the lesson consumed by the Hennessey Farmerettes at the club’s May 14 meeting in the home of Marge Patocka.Maxine Helgeson led the lesson and each member got to share some of the good times they have had in their lifetimes on Route 66.

The annual Lomega All-Sports Banquet on Wednesday night was more special than usual.Girls basketball coach Kevin Lewallen was honored for his team’s historic basketball season in which the Lady Raiders captured the program’s 17th state championship.
