KPS board hires support staff, approves estimate of needs

In addition to a handful of certified staff hires last Monday, the Kingfisher Board of Education approved the bulk of support staff that will keep the district running in 2026-27.The hires were approved at the end of a nearly twohour executive session during the board’s regular May meeting.

FFA advisor, special ed director among hires

Several more personnel moves were made Monday during the May regular meeting of the Kingfisher Board of Education.A month after the board voted to hire most certified personnel, some additional moves, including non-certifi ed personnel, were approved.And there were also some new hires.

3 county towns have higher April sales tax

Kingfisher, Hennessey and Cashion received larger April sales tax than they did in April 2025, according to the monthly report of the Oklahoma Tax Commission.The OTC collects sales taxes for state municipalities and counties along with its collection of state sales tax.
