Kingfisher County commissioners Monday approved the tabulated bids for road and bridge materials and commercial roadway work for all three districts for the first sixmonths of the fiscal year beginning July 1.

A Kingfisher County jury acquitted a Dover man who was facing 14 counts of first degree rape.The jury offered the verdict of not guilty on all counts in favor of Jesus B. Olivas Villalobos, 42, on May 14 after a four-day trial that included two days of testimony at Kingfisher County District Court.

Cloudy skies, some rain and a further chance of showers continue to hamper wheat harvesting in Kingfisher County.The Saturday forecast from the National Weather Service called for mostly sunny, but with a chance for thunderstorms.

Okarche High School has announced its honor rolls for the second semester of the 2025-26 school year.Students who earned all A’s were named to the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and those making no grade lower than a B were named to the Principal’s Honor Roll.
