Four Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club. Joining the local civic group were Addison Shelton, Elizabeth Pickle, Madison Farrar and Miriah Hernandez.Shelton is the daughter of Miranda Shelton.

Kingfisher Mayor Geoff Covalt, left, presented a proclamation to fellow city commissioner Tammy Sammons, who also served as vice president of Chapter Y of Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.). The proclamation was presented during the January regular meeting of the commission.

An educational lesson “Container Gardening for Everyone” will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the Kingfisher County OSU Extension Office, 300 S. 13th St, Kingfisher.The lesson will cover the do’s and don’ts of creating an attractive space in just about any area of your home.

...AND NOT ALLOWED TO RETIRE – These three Hennessey police offi cers attended the Hennessey Board of Education meeting on Jan. 12 for Todd Cameron. That’s because they learned Cameron is retiring from HHS at the end of this school year.
