City announces updates to 2 upcoming meetings

Kingfisher City Manager Dave Slezickey announced scheduling changes to two upcoming city commission meetings.The March monthly meeting will be moved from March 14 to March 7 and the Feb.14 meeting will be canceled, with all agenda items moved to the March 7 meeting.

Light snowfall provides area no moisture relief

Light snow – about one-quarter inch – floated down on Kingfisher County Wednesday afternoon.The snow, lighter than projected, is not expected to have a noticeable effect on the county’s thirsty small grain fields which have had negligible moisture for the last two months.

Well...we at this newspaper office just went through our second January of COVID issues. Progress I suppose. This year’s version only knocked half of us down. Seems it was milder as well. I guess we’ll call it a small victory.

NWOSU education majors get student teaching assignments

In their final semester, 21 Northwestern Oklahoma State senior education students have received their student teaching assignments and have entered area schools to gain hands-on experience.Among them are a pair of local students who will be student-teaching at county schools.
