Updated protocols for indoor sporting events werereviewed andtweaked Monday by Kingfisher’s board of education. They include requiring all spectators to wear masks or face coverings at Kingfisher Public Schools indoor events and also limits the amount of fans who can attend.

Kingfisher County’s official tally of COVID-19 related deaths climbed to 12 for 2020 in the Oklahoma State Department of Health’s last situation update of the year. OSDH data Thursday showed two additional deaths reported for the county, a female in the over 65 age group and a male aged 50-64.

Tuesday night’s rain dumped up to 1.8 inches of moisture across Kingfisher County. The National Weather Service predicted ice and snow for the county beginning at noon Thursday and continuing until noon Friday. Kingfisher Weather Observer Steve Loftis recorded 1.
