Three Kingfisher students have earned a place in the Oklahoma Choral Directors Association Junior High All-State Honor Choirs.

The holiday antlerless deer season began Dec. 18 and runs through the end of the calendar year. It brings multiple opportunities for hunters in 2020, including an additional chance to give.

Kingfisher County has been identified in a recent study as the second most generous in terms of per capita charitable giving.

Kingfisher County Associate District Judge Lance Schneiter administered oaths Dec. 8 to two new volunteers for the county’s Court Appointed Special Advocates program.

County commissioners last Monday quickly worked through an agenda that included an agreement with Dover Schools as well as helping secure funds for PPE reimbursement.

Hennessey Public Schools has been certified to offer COVID-19 tests, Superintendent Dr. Mike Woods told board members at their meeting last Monday night. “The tests are only for our staff,” he said. “Kits have been shipped and shouldbe here before Christmas break.

Pioneer Security announced last week it will continue operations to all existing customers of monitored alarm systems and med-alert systems. However, due to the changing market conditions, Pioneer will no longer sell new systems to its customers.

Thanks to record-setting generosity of its donors, Kingfisher Educational Foundation just funded $30,000 in teacher grants for new classroom enrichment programs for Kingfisher schools. The school itself was able to fund another $14,624.94 in teacher requests for proand materials.
