Less than a week remains for registered voters in Kingfisher County to apply for absentee ballots to be mailed to them for the Nov. 3 election, County Election Board Secretary Shawna Butts said. Applications for absentee ballots must be received by the County Election Board no later than 5 p.m.

Oklahoma State Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax issued a voter alert Monday warning voters about a text message that was received by a voter last Friday, that falsely claimed the voter’s polling place had changed. The complaint has been referred by election officials to law enforcement.
