Loyal Evangelical Church celebrates its 125th birthday this Sunday at its newly remodeled building. The new facilities will be dedicated during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service, followed by a meal. The 2:30 p.m.

The Kingfisher FFA Chapter had another successful outing recently under the guidance of new FFA advisers Megan Thormodsgard and Tyler Gradert at the National FFA Leadership Development Events (LDE). The competitions were held in conjunction with the 92nd National FFA Convention and Expo held Oct.

A recent memo from Hennessey’s town attorney to the board about it’s “fairly stiff” marijuana ordinance prompted special board meeting and action last week.The board opted to develop a new ordinance similar to Kingfi sher’s in a 5-0 vote.

The Theta Tau chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha met Oct. 21 in the community room at BancFirst. President Dana Terrell conducted the meeting. Yearbooks were passed out. The “Christmas Tour of Homes” was discussed and members considered several options to replace the tour for this year.

Kingfisher Church of Christ minister Daniel Mayfield and his wife Miranda announce the birth of their son, Zion David, at 7:47 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019, at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City. He weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces, and measured 20.25 inches long.

The Altrua Club met Oct. 16 at the Chisholm Trail Museum. Members present were Carolyn Flood, Martha Burditt, Dana Golbek, Terri Peck, Jneanne Kadavy, Jeanette Kloeppel, Sue Robison, Julie Storm, Cheryl Wheelbarger, Jowanna Sisk, and Dorothy Whitaker.
