While monthly unemployment rates are creeping upward in Kingfisher and surrounding counties from April lows, June numbers remain lower than one year ago.
Kingfisher will be the first public school district in the state to take part in a program that allows individuals and businesses to make contributions to the school and receive a tax credit in return.
The deadline to register to vote in upcoming school bond elections is next week.The last day to apply for voter registration is Friday, Aug. 16, in order to be eligible for the Sept. 10 special elections.Those elections are for bond issues in Kingfisher and Cashion.
Plainview HCE met at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 8, at Debbie Winters’ home. Dana Golbek, president, brought the meeting to order. Members recited pledges to American and Oklahoma flags, followed by the devotion.
There will be 483 students earn their degrees as the summer 2019 semester at the University of Central Oklahoma comes to a close.
Of that number, UCO received applications for graduation from 411 undergraduate students and 72 graduate students.
