Kingfisher Community Fund accepting grant applications

The Kingfisher Community Fund (KCF) is currently accepting grant applications from Kingfisher nonprofit agencies serving residents within the Kingfisher community, with an acceptance deadline of April 10. KCF seeks to fund projects that enhance the quality of life in Kingfisher.

Prom is Saturday

Kingfisher High School’s annual prom is Saturday, April 6, at the Kingfisher County Fairgrounds with the theme “Masquerade.”Doors will be open from 5:30-6 p.m. but after that they’re closed to only ticket holders.The traditional red carpet promenade starts at 6 p.m.

County pays 78 percent of ad val tax

Tiny town morphs into popular central OK suburb

Cashion goes BOOM Cashion is a town on the move, thanks at least in part to the Kingfisher County oil boom in the STACK. Anita Robinson, owner of Gateway Realty at Cashion, says at this point there are more inquiries from people wanting to move into Cashion than there are homes available to buy.

ELECTION DAY TUESDAY

Tuesday will be election day in Kingfisher County. Municipal and school district positions will be up for election. Polling will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at normal precinct polling places. Additionally townhall meetings will be held at Loyal (6 p.m.) and Cashion (7 p.m.
