Kingfisher County commissioners approved a bid from Cooper Creek Manufacturing to install a new pump on a brush truck for the Hennessey Fire Department Tuesday.Cooper Creek submitted the lower of two bids to do the work on the project at $10,625.Chief Fire and Safety submitted a bid of $12,225.

Kingfisher High School is requesting nominations for the 2019 KHS Hall of Fame inductees. Created in 1986 to honor the achievements of past graduates, the hall of fame will induct up to four new members each year, including either KHS graduates or administrators or faculty.

There are a number of factors leading to Kingfisher having a strong housing market. Margaret Phillips, a local realtor for 22 years, laid out some of those realities during a talk Thursday with the Kingfisher Lions Club members.

Oklahoma Farm Bureau members recently honored members of the Oklahoma Legislature with its 100 Percent Club Award for a 100-percent voting record with the organization during the 2018 legislative session.   Legislators were scored on a handful of legislation important to Farm Bureau policy.

Tim Perry of Hennessey got the nod from Hennessey’s Board of Trustees to use the town’s gym for youth basketball lessons, camps and clinics. The board decided to charge Perry’s H-Town Hoops Academy $40 an hour for use of the gym that’s located on Main Street, south of the public library.

The Kingfisher Lions Club has announced Emma Wood and Trey Green, seniors at Kingfisher High School, as its Junior Lions for February 2019. Wood is the daughter of Jay and Libby Wood.
