A Kingfisher man who allegedly impersonated a police officer and held a stranded motorist at the side of the road at gunpoint Jan. 13 was arrested last Tuesday by Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office. James Leroy Farmer, 28, 1985 E. Robberts Ave.

New hires at the Kingfisher Fire Department and EMS typically start with basic emergency medical technician licenses and go through additional training to achieve higher levels of certification over the course of their employment.

The Lomega senior FFA livestock judging team, pictured above, placed first recently at the Northwest District Livestock Judging contest in Enid.  Members of the team include Whitney Glazier, Dilon Fisher, Kelby Ott and Tate Ott.  Tate was fifth high individual and Fisher was 10th.

Four Kingfisher County residents were named on Oklahoma Baptist University’s academic honor roll for the fall 2018 semester. The President’s Honor Roll included Kingfisher’s Aniessa Edsall and Malia Wilfong as well as Okarche’s Taylor Bomhoff. The Bison Honor Roll included Josh Wilson of Okarche.

Marriage Licenses Kingfisher County Court Clerk Lisa Markus issued marriage licenses recently to the following couples: Jan. 30: Mark Edward Smith, 37, and Desiree Nicole Hart, 34, both of Hennessey. Jan. 30: Timothy Edgar Hyland, 23, of Oklahoma City, and Madison Marie York, 21, of Kingfisher.
