After Okarche’s season- opening loss, coach Aaron West felt the Warriors let one get away with their slow start.On Tuesday in Calumet, the Warriors almost let it happen again.Almost. Okarche used a 15-2 run to start the fourth quarter to spur itself to a 74-71 road win.

Dover could barely make a free throw in regulation. It couldn’t miss one in overtime. After letting a lead slip away, the Longhorns dominated Mulhall-Orlando in the extra frame Tuesday for a 49-42 road win.The Longhorns were up 35-27 after three quarters, but managed just four points in the fourth.

No big comeback was needed this time.Lomega improved to 2-0 Tuesday night with a 61-54 victory over visiting Drummond.It came three nights after the Raiders had to erase a double-digit deficit to knock off Dover in the season opener.

SUPER BOWL CHAMPS – With a dominating performance Thursday night, Kingfisher’s fifth and sixth grade football team wrapped up a perfect season with a championship. The Yellowjackets defeated Hennessey 31-6 in the Chisholm Trail Youth Football League’s “Super Bowl.
