Small-school basketball seasons start this week

The first of November marks the beginning of basketball season for the state’s two smallest classes.Schools in Class A and B can begin varsity games on Nov. 1. Locally, that includes Lomega, Dover and Okarche. Dover was the only county school to play on Tuesday, Nov.

Three Kingfisher High School softball seniors were named all-district first team selections when the picks were announced last week.Named to the District 4A-4 first team after a vote of the coaches were Mya Dewberry, Natalie Dick and Merrin Evans.Dewberry and Evans were named as utility players.
