Cooler weather - finally brought with it some prime running conditions.KingfisherHighSchool’s runners responded.Kingfisher was second and Hennessey fifth in the girls race last Saturday at the OBA/Chisholm High School Cross Country Invitational.

Hennessey’s schedule gives it a series of games in which the Eagles can put themselves in solid playoff position.And the Eagles are taking full advantage.They won their second straight game last Friday night as they blew out winless Chisholm 63-0 on the road.

Jeff Myers was in a good mood late Friday night.His Kingfisher Yellowjackets had just thumped Mannford 36-0 on homecoming night for their second straight win.Not only did the Jackets improve their playoff standing and earn their first shutout since 2019, but they stayed injury-free in the process.

Reserved seats are now on sale for Kingfisher High School varsity basketball games.The front middle section on the APB’s south side (opposite the scorer’s table) will be reserved only for those who have purchased those seats for the season.
