Both of Kingfisher’s doubles teams made it to the second day of the Class 4A state tennis tournament before eventually being eliminated.It took three sets for Riverfield Country Day’s Johnson Hale and Anthony Harper to knock out William Shaver and Caden Kitchens in No. 1 doubles.

Sluggish opening and closing rounds saw the Cashion boys golf team take fourth place at the Class 2A state tournament.The Wildcat contingent shot an opening-round 355 Monday at the Buffalo Rock Golf Course in Cushing.

Kingfisher shot progressively better throughout each round to finish fifth in last week’s Class 4A boys state golf tournament.The Jackets had rounds of 335 and 333 during a 36-hole marathon on Monday at Boiling Springs Golf Course in Woodward.They came back Tuesday to fire a 327.

RANDALL SAINTS – Kingfisher’s Chase Davis signs to play basketball at Randall University in Moore. Davis was the Class 4A state tournament MVP as he helped lead the Jackets to the Class 4A state title. He also earned OCA All-State honors. He’s seated with his mother, Lindsay Kopp.

Seven errors weren’t enough to keep Cashion from winning a baseball state tournament game for just the third time in program history.The sixth-ranked Wildcats overcame the miscues Thursday thanks to a ninerun explosion in the sixth inning. That helped give them a 15-6 victory over No.

Abby Hobgood and Lauren Lamb made the medal stand in three events to help keep Cashion in contention throughout much of the Class 2A track and field state championships.

The Crescent girls track and field team was exceptional in 2022.Its coach hopes 2023 can be even better.Bolstered by a phenomenal meet by junior Kinidi Taylor, Crescent finished third in the Class 2A state track and field team standings at Catoosa High School last weekend.
