White is 2nd team WAC pick

Junior Hayes White was a second-team selection for the Western Athletic Conference all-conference team.The honor is voted on by coaches.The Kingfisher guard led the Jackets with 19.4 points, 3.7 assists and 2.7 steals a contest. He added 4.6 rebounds a game.

5 Lady Jackets, coach earn WAC honors

Kingfisher’s Taylor Young was voted Coach of the Year by her peers in the Western Athletic Conference for the 2024-25 basketball season.The Lady Jackets’ lone senior - Raegan Snider - was voted the Offensive Player of the Year as well as a spot on the all-conference first team.

Jackets pick up back-to-back wins to begin soccer season

Four appears to be the magic number for the Kingfisher High School boys soccer team.The Jackets won their second straight match to open their 2025 season on Thursday with a 4-2 victory over visiting Cache.That came after KHS won 4-3 at Bristow last Friday.

Cashion High School senior Luke Baustert fired up the State Fair Arena crowd with his rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner. Baustert played the National Anthem prior to Cashion’s Class 2A boys state basketball quarterfi nal against Dale during the fi rst session on Thursday, March 6.

Locust Grove holds off Lady Jackets

As the second half started, Taylor Young knew her team needed a good start to overcome a six-point deficit in the Class 4A girls state quarterfinals.The opposite happened, however.Locust Grove’s Tatum Stokes made back-to-back 3-pointers to give her team a 12-point lead - its largest to that point.
