5 Jackets earn soccer All-State

Seven Kingfisher High School seniors pulled in honors when the Oklahoma Soccer Coaches Association recently announced its 2024 All-State teams.Lady Jackets named to the Class 3A West squad were goalie Zoey Padilla, and midfielders Kylee Rojas and Hannah Click.

Lomega athletes made three trips to the medal stand at the Class A state track and field meet last weekend.Two of them were for their accomplishments on the track at Western Heights High School.Another was for their work off of it.

Dover only had four athletes at the Class A state track and field meet last weekend.However, those four scored in every event in which they took part and finished fifth in the team standings at Western Heights High School.

Gold medals didn’t come home with the Kingfisher High School girls track and field team from last weekend’s Class 4A state meet.But two school records and several personal-best performances did take place, which made it a successful two days at Catoosa High School.

As it turns out, the Richardson twins weren’t just beneficial to the Hennessey boys basketball team this year.The juniors made up 40 percent of Hennessey’s roster and contributed to a majority of the team’s points at the Class 2A state track and field meet last weekend at Western Heights.

Kingfisher’s Orozco, Okarche’s Mueggenborg advance to state

Kingfisher’s bid to return to the state tournament in golf fell short Wednesday…by five strokes.The Yellowjackets shot a 328 at Kingfisher Golf Course, good for fourth place in their Class 4A regional.Only the top three teams advance to state from each of the regionals.
