Oklahoma Forestry Services is urging an elevated level of caution as the risk of wildfire increases throughout the week.Dry conditions are expected for nearly the entire state leading up to a forecast of possible late-week extreme fire weather.

Kingfisher County commissioners approved the bid of Circle C Paving of Lawton to apply chips and oil on roads in all three districts Monday at their regular weekly meeting.

Andy Evans and Jan Swart had worked together before.He was the principal and she taught science and coached at Kingfisher Middle School from 2005-07.Their paths crossed again this year.Swart is in her second year as a teacher at Kingfi sher High School.

The annual Lenten Community Service series sponsored by the Kingfisher Ministerial Alliance began Ash Wednesday, March 5, and will run through April 16.
