The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: April 17, 11:58 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and East Will Rogers Drive.Julio Lopez, 53, El Reno, driving a 2026 Ford F-250, was in the inside southbound lane of U.S. 81.

Weekend weather allows harvest to resume

Wheat harvest returned over the weekend in Kingfisher County with wheat arriving at elevators in all sections of the county.CHS Elevator in Hennessey received its first wheat of the new harvest year Thursday before rain stalled it.

Nine resignations accepted by KPS

Along with the lengthy list of hires came several resignations that were approved.Three were previously reported by the KT&FP and were made official on Monday.Those were Haley Mitchel, Morgan Dutton and Isaac Waltman, all three of whom were teachers and coaches.
