Ten members of the Hennessey Farmerettes OHCE Group attended the Spring County Council meeting at the Kingfisher Exhibit Building, hosted March 25 by the Happy Homemakers. Zack Smithson was the motivational speaker.

Theta Tau Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha met on March 16 at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the First Christian Church. Stormy Simmons, President, led the group in the opening ritual.

Kingfisher County Court Clerk Lauren Stroh issued marriage licenses recently to the following couples: February 20: John Michael Vanlandingham, 29, and Gracie Erin Petty, 26, both of Cashion. February 24: Daniel Ray Greenhaw, Jr., 27, and Amanda Sue Cape, 28, both of Oklahoma City.

Lomega High School senior Saidee Wright has completed a week of service as a page for Sen. Darcy Jech, R-Kingfisher. Wright served at the Capitol during the sixth week of the legislative session from March 9-12.

Hennessey’s Board of Trustees will have a “planning meeting” to discuss the future needs of the community next week. The meeting is slated for 9 a.m. Friday, April 10, at Town Hall. This is a date change for the special meeting that was originally scheduled this Thursday.

Union Pacific Railroad is continuing an improvement project that will affect different parts of the county throughout the next week with railroad crossing closings.
