City officials say construction of the new fire department remains on schedule despite a setback that required some of the foundation to be cut out and re-poured.

The Sts. Peter & Paul Altar Society met at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, and dined on an Irish meal of reuben sandwiches, pretzel bites with cheese and cheesecake served by hostess Francene Eaton.
The meeting was called to order by President Ann Finley, who led the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Hennessey Farmerettes met Thursday, March 12, at the First Christian Church with Paula Nicholson as hostess.
Jamie Akenhead was selected as the Outstanding Member of the Farmerettes for 2026.
She will be recognized at the Hennessey Red Carpet Meeting in April.
