(All from The Times, May 20, 1926)The firm of Crandall & Sanders is making good headway on the plumbing and wiring overhaul of the courthouse. Not all of the material is here yet, however, and no definite date can be set for the completion of the work.

Remodeling work is almost completed on the new offices for the Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce at Memorial Hall, Ray Hackney, president, reported to the membership last week at the regular monthly luncheon meeting. He invited members to come by and see what is being done.

History of Route 66 was the lesson consumed by the Hennessey Farmerettes at the club’s May 14 meeting in the home of Marge Patocka.Maxine Helgeson led the lesson and each member got to share some of the good times they have had in their lifetimes on Route 66.

Tom Newell, former Republican State Representative, chief of staff for Governor Kevin Stitt, ordained minister and now chief of staff at the Oklahoma State Department of Education, was the guest speaker of the Kingfi sher Rotary Club earlier this month.

The Hennessey Senior Citizens Center will be hosting a mental health presentation at 1 p.m. this Wednesday, May 20, in recognition of National Mental Health Awareness Month.

Kingfisher County Extension Director/Agricultural Educator Bryan Kennedy led a tour of Kingfi sher County wheat test plots Thursday following a breakfast at the Exhibit Building at the Kingfisher County Fairgrounds.

As is their tradition, volunteers with Memory Lane, Inc., will be on hand throughout Memorial Day weekend to provide their brand of service to visitors.Memorial Day is Monday, May 25.Members will be handing out water and helping visitors to Kingfisher Cemetery locate graves.
