An organization was formed at a dance held in Kingfisher Saturday night for that purpose. Youth dances are to be held every other Saturday night, beginning at 8 p.m. Sept. 8 at Memorial Hall.Admission of 25 cents a person (50 cents a couple), will be charged to pay for new records, and refreshments.

ED. NOTE: In the early days, folks shared and learned what was going on with their friends and neighbors by picking up their local community newspaper. Each of the various rural Township communities were covered by their own correspondent, who submitted the week’s news to the newspaper in town.

Came back from Lame Deer, Montana, with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Little Head and daughter and her son. We started late Friday evening waiting on her two grandsons having their car repair. Finally they told her wanting to stay because the Crow Fair starting Aug. 22/76.

* *Mr. and Mrs. Ed Clump, who were in New Mexico with their daughter, returned to their home last week.Mr. and Mrs. Carl Clump and family and Mr. and Mrs. Phil Cochran and family returned this week from a week’s trip to the Ozarks.Mr.

* *The baseball game, Sunday, with Cashion, was won by Wandel, the score being 11 to 6. The next game is to be with Kingfisher, at home. It will be a double-header. If we win either one of these games we will have a sure chance of being the leading team in the last half of the baseball series.

Two additions were made to the Hennessey 522 Ambulance District board on Monday in order to make it compliant.County commissioners at their weekly meeting approved the appointments of Sonja McGee and Tisha Kelly to the board.

Kingfisher Public Schools will likely have an interim superintendent by the end of this week.Board of education members met for more than four hours during a special meeting on Monday, almost exclusively in executive session.
