Upset was on the mind of Cimarron for three quarters.

But high school basketball is a four quarter game.

Lomega dominated that fourth and final frame Saturday to dash the Trailblazers hopes as it won their Class B district title matchup 72-47.

Although it ended in a blowout, Lomega led just 44-36 through three quarters.

The Raiders struggled to contain Jacob Ocanas, who had six 3-pointers and 24 points through three quarters. That included three treys and all 11 of his team’s points in that third.

But he just scored one point in the fourth and Lomega outscored its guests 28-11.

Seven different Lomega players scored in that decisive frame, led by Brooks Uhlenhake and Owen Duffy. They scored seven and six points, respectively.

Ben Marsh knocked down a 3-pointer in the fourth, but did much of his damage through the first three quarters.

Marsh had three treys and 11 points in the first half and added six more points in the third as Lomega built on its slim lead.

He scored a team-high 20 points.

Duffy scored 14 and Uhlenhake 13 for the 20thranked Raiders.

The win helped them snap a five-game losing skid. The last of those was 56-52 in the final regular season game last Tuesday at Pond Creek-Hunter.

Marsh scored 19 while Kelby Ott notched 11 points for the Raiders.

They’ll enter the regional with a 16-10 record.

The win earned Lomega a shot at fourth-ranked Calumet (23-1) on the Chieftains home court Thursday.

Calumet beat Lomega 66-50 earlier this season.
