Lomega athletes earn medals in 3 events

Lomega had five athletes combined to medal in three events and score 21 points in the Class A state track and field meet at Western Heights High School.
The Lady Raiders’ showing placed them in a tie for 13th in the team standings.
Kate Myers medaled twice for the team.
She was the bronze medalist in the 800 meter run on Saturday, clocking a time of 2:28.62.
Myers was joined by Joann Bilger, Claire Myers and Isabel Hansen to take fourth in the 3,200 meter relay.
The team ran the race in 10:36.04.
Lomega’s other points came in the field as Kinlsey Fisher medaled in the shot put.
Her throw of 35 feet, 1 inch was good for fourth place.
