Lila Beltz
Lila M. Beltz, 93, passed away July 6, 2025, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kan.
She was born June 4, 1932, in Gas City, Kan., the daughter of Irvin and Gertrude Evans Dame.
A lifetime area resident, moving to Larned, Kan., more than 65 years ago, she was a licensed mental health aide at the Larned State Hospital.
Lila was a member of the Larned United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, The Welcome Inn Senior Center, Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Auxiliary all of Larned and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, Great Bend.
She loved going camping, traveling and doing crafts.
On July 7, 1950, she married Earl Beltz. He passed away Nov. 10, 1992.
Survivors include her two children, Jerry (Sheri) Beltz and Carol (Greg Bennett) Beltz; two brothers, Floyd “Max” (Diantha) Dame, Florida and Phil (Cathy) Dame, Norman; a sister, Linda (Larry) Creech, Tennessee; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Roland Dame, Rex Dame and Richard Dame.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at Larned United Methodist Church with Reverend Angela DeFisher presiding.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Beckwith Mortuary with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
