Harvie Joseph Free

Harvie Joseph “Joe” Free, 80, of Kingfisher, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Aug. 30, 2025, at Kingfisher.

Joe was born on June 11, 1945.

On June 4, 1969, he married the love of his life, Kathleen Janet McCormick, and together they built a strong and loving family.

Joe faithfully supported his family by working as a skilled mechanic for many years.

Beyond his profession, Joe had a true passion for ministry. He loved leading people to Jesus Christ and was actively involved in Bill Glass Ministries, where he dedicated his time to sharing the gospel.

Joe is survived by his three children - David Lynn Free, Scott Edward Free and LaDawn Renee Free; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Laverne and Margaret Mary Free; his wife, Kathleen Janet Free; four brothers and two sisters.

Joe will be remembered as a man of faith, love and devotion.

He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, at God’s Covenant Church in Kingfisher and graveside services will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
