Okarche update

Okarche’s softball team is one win from a district title.

The Lady Warriors downed Wellston 7-1 in a Class A district winner’s bracket game on Thursday after earning a bye in the first round.

Okarche and Wellston played again at 2 p.m. Friday (after press time). An Okarche win secures the district championship.

The top-ranked Okarche baseball team received a forfeit district title as Indianola opted not to play.

The Warriors will host a regional this week.
