Bobbie Ruth Hix

Bobbie Ruth (Atkinson) Hix was born Jan. 19, 1931, and went to be with her Lord on Sept. 23, 2025, at the age of 94 years.

Bobbie married Lee Hix on Nov. 5, 1948. They lived most of their lives in Kingfi sher, but moved to Dickens, Texas, in 1992.

Bobbie is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Sandy and Phil Ross of Bixby and Patsy and Winfrey Kinzie of Perkins as well as six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents Claude and Minnie Atkinson, husband Lee Hix, daughter Sue Raby and all nine siblings.

Bobbie, or Honey, as many called her, trusted Jesus as her savior at the age of 14 and served him the rest of her life. She also served her community on various boards including EMS, Dickens Cemetery, Dickens Museum and the Dickens Baptist Church.

Graveside service was Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Dickens Cemetery with Pastor Blaine Ross officiating.
