Longhorns remain unbeaten

After falling behind early, Dover dominated the final three quarters on Tuesday to stay unbeaten.

The Longhorns trailed by four points after a quarter at Mulhall-Orlando, but used a 16-2 run to kickstart a 65-33 victory.

The victory upped Dover’s season mark to 5-0.

The home team made two 3-pointers and scored 13 points in the first quarter, but didn’t manage another trey the rest of the game.

Dover found its feet in the second as Casen Buck and Daxx Compton combined for 13 points.

They led the Longhorns to a 10-point halftime advantage and didn’t slow down.

Dover doubled up M-O in the third quarter by scoring 20 points. Seventeen of those came from the guard duo.

Both players finished with 20 points.

All of Compton’s came inside the arc or at the foul line.

Buck made three treys as part of his total.

Dover also got eight points from A.J. Avila.

M-O comes back to beat Lady Longhorns Dover let a lead slip away in the fourth quarter Tuesday in a 46-39 loss at Mulhall-Orlando.

The Lady Longhorns led after each of the first three quarters, though it dwindled each frame.

Up by two entering the fourth, the visitors were outscored 17-8.

Six different Lady Panthers scored in the final quarter while only two Lady Longhorns managed to get on the board.

Remi Goodwin scored six of the points in that quarter and Leslie Soto had two.

They couldn’t offset Mulhall- Orlando’s production, which included closing out by making 6 of 10 free throws.

Kinley Rivera scored 12 points to lead M-O, all on 3-pointers.

Reagan Graef added 10. Goodwin paced Dover with 12 points while Soto chipped in 10.

Presley Squires scored seven, all in the first half when Dover managed a 2318 halftime lead.

The loss dropped the Lady Longhorns to 2-3.
