Grace Ellen Rogers, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend, passed away surrounded by the love she so freely gave throughout her life on Nov. 27, 2025.

She was born on June 10, 1958, in Wichita, Kan.

Grace was raised on a small farm in Hennessey where she learned early the values of hard work, kindness and gratitude.

She graduated from Hennessey High School before attending Bethany Nazarene College, where she met the love of her life, Charles Keith Rogers.

They later married in Hennessey and began a life together rooted in faith, family and devotion.

Grace and her husband returned to Wichita, where they raised their children and built a warm and welcoming home filled with laughter, creativity and compassion.

After retirement, they enjoyed six wonderful years in Florida, embracing new adventures and quiet moments together. Grace especially loved watching the sun rise and set over the ocean and never missed the opportunity to watch a rocket launch light up the sky.

Grace had a rare gift for touching the lives of everyone she met.

Selfless, caring and endlessly giving, she was the kind of person who would offer the shirt off her back without a second thought.

She found the good in everyone and never spoke an unkind word. Even when she was hurting, she never complained – her first question was always about how others were doing.

Her greatest joy in life was her granddaughters, Tori and Belle, with whom she shared countless treasured moments. Whether she was spending weeks caring for them while their dad was out of town, bringing special crafts for them to create together, or offering gentle advice when asked, she poured her whole heart into her role as “Grammy.”

She also delighted in making handmade crafts for her daughter’s classroom, ensuring her creativity continued to brighten the lives of children.

A true artist, Grace expressed love through her hands as much as through her words. She mastered countless mediums – glass etching, crochet, needlework, painting, Native American beadwork, handmade cards, refurbished ceramics, cork carving and more.

Nearly every piece she made was a gift intended for someone else, a tangible reminder of her generosity and thoughtfulness.

She and her husband also enjoyed traveling, including memorable motorcycle trips and exploring new places together.

Grace had a deep passion for genealogy, spending countless hours uncovering new branches of her family tree. The joy she found in connecting past and present was a reflection of her heart – she treasured every relationship and believed every person mattered.

Above all, Grace lived with unwavering faith.

God came first in her life, followed closely by her family and friends. Her gentle spirit, her steady kindness and her ability to make every person feel valued are gifts that will continue to live on in those who had the privilege of knowing her.

We do not have the words to fully describe Grace. This is just a snapshot of the most wonderful woman we’ll ever know.

She was a Godsend to all who knew and loved her. Her faith was the driving force in her life.

She led by example. If you know her you know the spirit of the Lord was always with her.

Grace leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion and quiet strength.

She will be missed more than words can express, but the impact she made on this world will remain forever by her husband, Keith Rogers; daughter, Heather Parten; son-in-law, Matt Parten; son, Charly Rogers; daughter-in-law, Amanda Rogers; granddaughters Tori and Belle; sisters Vanessa, Cindy and Becky; brothers Roger, Michael, Herb; and mother, Shirley.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Tim, and her father, Eugene.

A Celebration of Grace’s beautiful life will be planned at a later date and the family will share details when available.
