Earl Garnett

Earl Keith Garnett, 82, of Bay City, Texas, passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Services are 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Sanders Funeral Service in Kingfisher.

Earl was born Jan. 8, 1944, in Shattuck to Emile and Mary Kathryn (Tune) Garnett.

He married Joye Grabow on June 25, 1965, in Loyal.

Earl earned a master’s degree from Fort Hays State University and was a high school art teacher.

Survivors include his wife of Fort Wayne, Ind.; son Ty Garnett and wife Amber of Moore; sister Rose Garrison of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Jane Southard and Kathryn Herring and son Curtis Garnett.

Pallbearers at his service will be Jeff Herring, Jim Herring, Chad Herring, Bud Grabow, Blaine Grabow and Isaac Garnett.
