Albert Kloeppel
Albert M. Kloeppel was born Jan. 16, 1939, in Kingfi sher and passed away surrounded by family on Jan. 8, 2026. He was 86.
Albert was the youngest son of John and Hilda (Strack) Kloeppel and was born, raised and lived his entire life on the same farm in Kingfisher.
He was a lifelong member of the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Kingfi sher.
On Oct. 25, 1960, he married Mary “Ann” Brueggen in Okarche. They raised four children: Shirley, Anita, Tom and Susan.
Albert was a farmer his entire life, raising wheat and cattle. For 45 years, he also worked as a custom harvester, traveling north each summer to harvest crops for others.
Through this work, he formed many lifelong friendships that he valued deeply.
Albert was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus, attaining the level of Fourth Degree Knight.
Albert enjoyed traveling throughout his life, from family trips when his children were young to long-anticipated bucket list trips later on. Many of his favorite trips were near the ocean where he could enjoy seafood, something he especially loved.
Albert was devoted to his family and remained someone they turned to for advice and answers. Young children were naturally drawn to him and he enjoyed entertaining them with his stories – often with a sense that some shared mischief might not be far behind.
Albert will be remembered for his steady presence, strong work ethic, love of family and the life he lived faithfully on the land he called home.
Albert was predeceased by his parents, John and Hilda Kloeppel; daughter, Susan Brown; grandchildren, Saralyn and Mitchell Brown; siblings, Louise (Robert) Gruntmeir, Irene (Joe) Cole, Lawrence (Bert) Kloeppel, Anna (Jim) Greving and Lucille (Jack) Sund.
