Cashion’s Amber Hobgood was recently selected as the coach for the 2026 Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State cheer team.

Hobgood will be the coach for the West squad of cheerleaders that will perform at certain events during the OCA All-State games.

Hobgood has helped guide Cashion to three straight Class 2A competitive cheer state championships among her many accomplishments at the helm of the program.

“In her 11 years with the Cashion cheer program, Amber has co-founded our competitive squads and consistently led squads that place at competitive state and Game Day state competitions,” said CHS Principal Ryan Schenk. “Amber is a tremendous person, coach and asset to our district and we are honored to have her represent CHS and the West as the 2026 All-State cheer coach.”

Since Cashion started competitive cheer in 2015, the team has reached state every year except one and Cashion has also qualified for the Game Day state finals every year since its inception.

On top of winning 2A state in 2023, 2024 and 2025, Cashion was also Game Day state champ in 2023 to go with multiple state runner-up finishes as well as academic state titles in both competitions.

Hobgood has coached four all-region and two All-State cheerleaders at Cashion.
