Perkins-Tryon completed a magical run through the boys bracket with a 5247 upset win in overtime over top-seeded Weatherford in Wednesday night’s boys title game.

Sixth-ranked Weatherford entered the contest with a 16-0 record, but couldn’t shake the Demons, who beat second-seeded Kingfisher in the semifinals.

It was Perkins’ first Buckle championship.

The Demons, ranked 12th in 4A, improved to 14-2.

They won their three tournament games by a combined 12 points.

The quarterfinals saw them down Guthrie 60-55 before they edged KHS 5957 on a late bucket in the semifinals.

Tyce Slusser led Perkins with 18 points while Jase Myers scored 13 and Deangelo Johnson 11.

Cash Weiberg led Weatherford with 15.
