LC tops Lady Jackets in state quarterfinals
Defending champion Lincoln Christian lived up to its billing by handing Kingfisher a 53-32 defeat Tuesday morning in the Class 4A girls state quarterfi nals at OG&E Coliseum.
KHS was making its fourth appearance at state in five years and saw its season end with a 26-5 record.
Lincoln Christian meanwhile, advanced to the semifi nals for the sixth straight year.

After falling behind by 7 early, Kingfisher cut its deficit to 10-7 with buckets from Ela Hartman and Abbie Myers - and had possession - but that was as close as it got.
Maddi Stewart, a Nebraska signee, completed a three-point play on her end to push the lead back to 6 with 3:29 to go in the first quarter.
That was the start of a 12-1 Lincoln Christian run that stretched into the second quarter.
The Lady Jackets trailed by as many as 15 in the first half, but cut it to 32-20 on Reese Roof’s running bank shot at the halftime buzzer.
The Bulldogs then held Kingfisher scoreless for more than 5 minutes to start the second half and were up 20 by the end of the third quarter.
